 Tom has always been passionate about producing high quality great tasting meat products.  However, in recent decades there has been an alarming shift in the meat industry away from producing simple quality products to less expensive items loaded with fillers and chemicals to save money and increase shelf life.  Tom had zero interest in following that trend.  He decided to do something totally different.

Why not use the highest quality ingredients he could find and produce a simple, nutritious and absolutely delicious product that would be more expensive but would end up returning more overall value to the customer?  Working with his wife Sue, they recognized that there would be a real market for a higher quality, nutritious, convenient meat snack.

Tom knew that for hundreds of years Native Americans had taken lean meat and berries and essentially combined them by pounding them together and allowing them to dehydrate.  The result: a nutrient dense savory snack known as pemmican.  Armed with this basic knowledge and a lot of creativity and experimentation by Sue the Simply Snackin gourmet dried meat snacks were born.

When Tom isn’t running the business he is enjoying his time spent with family and is out fulfilling his love of the love of the outdoors. He spends much of his time improving the habitat of his land for wildlife.

Like Tom, Sue shares the same love of wholesome, savory food.  She loves to experiment with new flavors, and is a heck of a cook. Health and an active lifestyle have also been important to her.

 Sue was aware of just how few healthy and savory snacks were available. She wanted to change that, and give people a nutritious snacking option like nothing else available.

Where Tom had only thought about combining lean sirloin beef with berries Sue saw even more possibilities; she envisioned a gourmet meat snack with creative and inspiring combinations of ingredients, but with one drastic ingredient difference - lean natural chicken breast instead of lean natural beef sirloin.

Well after several years of research and testing she did it. Her first gourmet chicken meat snack was born. It was the first of its kind -  nothing else on the market like it. Today we have 6 flavors: 3 beef sirloin and 3 chicken breast.

When Sue isn’t at the office she is spending time with her husband Tom in the outdoors. She loves to create inspiring meals and share them with friends and family. She enjoys landscaping and gardening, spending time with her two children and loves taking long walks with Tom and their two pups.
